[edit] Screenshots

Okay, I'm looking at these screenshots and you know what I'm seeing? MARCO! What the heck? Marco isn't even cool! He's Ugly! There isn't even a picture with Eri OR Fio! Stop it! I need to relax. Find a happy place. --205.173.47.254

 • I concur. I don't like Marco either. Bioform 1234 31 dec,2006
 • Laughed my ass off, but you're kinda right. Oh well, just add them yourself!--==User:E-Magination == 15:57, 14 October 2006 (UTC)

I would, but I'm completly paranoid about screwing with the article. Could you?

You know, I've been asking around, and it seems that a whole bunch of people like Fio. I find it interesting, therfore, that whoever put these screenshots on the article managed to find a picture of Marco only. It doesn't even mention Eri or Fio in the first place, except for their special abilities. Maybe we should put some pictures with the special abilities of the characters being shown. Oh well.

 • Agree with the second guy (lots of others agree as far as I know). Fio and Eri are much better. Who wants to see some ugly guys waering vests and sunglasses blasting stuff and running like retards? Come ON people.LIGHTLIVING 16:46, 28 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Maps maybe?

The article says the number of possible paths iin each mission, but since the paths are so expansive and epic, maybe we should put level maps with official bakgrounds and the paths being clearly identified, until the boss area. It might be difficult, but I'm sure it might make some Metal Slug junkies (especially me and a bunch of my friends) a little happier. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 66.166.78.42 (talk) 00:15, 3 January 2007 (UTC).

[edit] What on earth is going on?

I played Metal Slug at a golfland spot, and on the screen it said Metal Slug 6. The pictures on the side and top of the arcade cabinet even said Metal Slug 6. But it wasn't on the Atomiswave! It was on Neo-Geo, and it was basically just Metal Slug three with some very obvious differences, which I will list.

1.The missions are in scrambled order, with the exception of Mission 2 and 5. Mission 4 is now mission 1, mission two is the same, mission 1 is mission 3, mission 3 is mission 4 and mission 5 is the same.

2.When you have your pistol, you have a thundercloud with unlimited ammo. Therfore, instead of the CEO guys dropping one coin and a thundercloud powerup, they will both just drop a coin.

3.Every time you obtain a weapon powerup, you become fat, doing a ridiculosly large amount of damage (when you obtain a powerup underwater, in the jet pack, in the space suit, rebel armor or space rocket slug, you maintain the same non-fat appearence until you shed the equipment).

4.You can kill all enemies and tanks faster. The only drawback of this is that every slug will blow up upon the first impact of enemy gunfire.

5.In mission 3 of this metal slug (which is actually the first mission in metal slug 3) If you take the underwater route, the first crate you blow up will contain a second slug marine, if you are playing with two people. The same happens with the slugnoid for the boss of this mission.

Hey, I played that once. You know, I was wondering what that was too. I usually play that becuase Mission 4 is mission 1, and I'm trying to make sketches of maps for the missions, and the most complex path branching occurs in the fourth mission. Anyway, I've heard rumors that it's known as ""The New Metal Slug." Any thoughts on this ?LIGHTLIVING 16:43, 28 March 2007 (UTC)

This might be some werid modification of MS3. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kklc1990 (talkcontribs) 03:39, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Hyakutaro Ichimonji

No mention of the prisoner Hyakutaro Ichimonji that you rescue on Mission 4 who aids you by firing "firballs" at your enemies.--mcnichoj
