The Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) is located in South Park Slope/Sunset Park Brooklyn, New York. An administrative security detention center that detains all custody levels, it has recently been under scrutiny for the handling of Arab and Muslim prisoners arrested after the September 11, 2001 attacks. The handling of these prisoners was dramatized in the Law & Order: Criminal Intent episode "Stress Position."
