The first Metropolitan Community Church congregation in London (and, indeed, Europe) was founded in 1972. That original Congregation went on to occupy premises in Sistova Road, Balham and to be the source (directly or indirectly) of three other congregations:
- Metropolitan Community Church of North London
- Metropolitan Community Church in East London
- Metropolitan Community Church in South London
Ironically, the original MCC London did not survive but the three Congregations that grew from it flourish to this day.
