Metropolitan Community Church in South London is based in London, England and is part of the worldwide Metropolitan Community Church movement. It was originally founded as MCC Brixton by Rev Elder Jean White, the former Pastor of the now defunct MCC London.
A move of location prompted a change of name to MCC South London, reflecting the geographical name choices of all three Metropolitan Community Churches in London.
It's missions statement states that the Church's Mission is:
- to further Jesus Christ's message of God's unconditional love by uniting God's people in faith and calling people to New Life through the liberating gospel of Jesus Christ,
to provide sanctuary for worship and fellowship, inclusive of all and exclusive of none, to nurture, encourage, and support the spiritual growth of God's people, to encourage and demonstrate Christian love to all.
The Church holds worship services at Saint Andrew's United Reformed Church, at the corner of Laitwood Road and Cavendish Road, Balham, South London (Coordinates: ) on Sundays at 6:30 p.m.
