Metropolis Academy (then "Metropolitan Academy") was founded by Mr. Bhatti, which was actually the branch of Metropolitan Academy. The main purpose to open metropolis academy was to divide the metropolitan academy's students into metropolis academy. Due to high volume of students in two branches of metropolitan academy (Nasirabad Branch and Ancholi Branch), Metropolis was opened and only the male students from grade 6 to grade 10 from both branches were transferred into Metropolis Academy. After two years of great success, Mr. Bhatti converted its name to Metropolis Academy and became the independent owner of the school, though all the exams, and administrative functions are still operated by Metropolitan Academy.
Metropolis Academy has now its three locations serving in the city of Karachi. The main branch is in Gulberg, Karachi, whose principle is Mr. Ovais Bhatti, son of Mr. Bhatti.
