Metro Manila Community Orchestra

The Metro Manila Community Orchestra (MMCO) is a 50-piece community-based orchestra composed of young musicians whose average age is 28 years old, with the youngest player aged 11.

This orchestra was established in March 2000 and has since been guided by two musical virtuosos namely Mr. Alfonso “Coke” Bolipata as Artistic Director and Mr. Josefino “Chino” Toledo as Musical Director.

The MMCO is a project of the Institute for Orchestral Development in the Philippines (IODP) based in Miriam College, Quezon City whose mission is to bring music to as many communities as possible especially those with little or no access to classical music
