The Methodist Bishops' Collection is a collection of writings, papers, letters, correspondence, souvenirs of various sorts, etc. of those who have served as Bishops of the Methodist Episcopal Church, Methodist Episcopal Church, South, The Methodist Church and of other Methodist Churches, as well (including non-U.S. denominations). The collection was begun by Bishop Frederick Deland Leete (1866-1958), a Bishop elected by the M.E. Church, serving 1912-58. Much of these materials were published in 1948 in his book Methodist Bishops. Bishop Leete's collection was deposited in the library of Perkins School of Theology of Southern Methodist University, Dallas, Texas. It is believed this collection has been added to subsequently, now including materials from Bishops elected by the United Methodist Church, as well. These materials are also being used to publish articles on individual Bishops of the United Methodist Church here at Wikipedia.
