Metanet Software

Metanet Software is an independent game development company founded in 2001 by Mare Sheppard and Raigan Burns. It is based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

In March 2004, Metanet published a platform game called N, which received the Audience Choice Award at the Independent Games Festival in 2005, and the Audience Choice Award at the Slamdance Guerilla Gamemaker Competition in 2006. N is currently in version 1.4. The company's next game is currently in development and is named "Robotology" as its working title. In an interview given to PC Gamer magazine, Metanet stated that the new game will heavily feature ropes and focus on physics behavior. Metanet is also working on N v1.5, which will feature major code revamps and enhancements. [1]

Metanet announced that it will alternate between freeware and shareware for its upcoming releases. N+ has been released on the Xbox Live Arcade service, and is soon to be released for the Nintendo DS, and the Sony PlayStation Portable.
