Mesquite Junior High School

Mesquite Junior High School is a public junior high school located in Gilbert, Arizona. It opened in 1986 on the former campus of Gilbert High School.

In 2007 Debbie Arenz, a physical education instructor at Mesquite won a national award from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards, a difficult and prestigious award.[1]

Mesquite is the only junior high school in the district to offer full theater-related instruction, including drama, stagecraft, and other parts of theater production.[2]

Misc. facts:One of the children who played an Ewok on Star Wars later went to to MJHS when it was a highschool[citation needed].
