Colossal Squid (Mesonychoteuthis hamiltoni) sighted near the Ross Ice Shelf on Januray 8, 2007. First sighting of a mature Colossal Squid. Identified as Mesonychoteuthis hamiltoni by giant squid expert Dr. Steve O'Shea.[1]
