[edit] Quotation marks don't always enclose other punctuation

Hi, I agree with all the corrections you made in this edit to the article on Functionalism versus intentionalism, except the last one. You say in the edit summary that "quotation marks always enclose punctuation," but the section on quotation marks within the Manual of Style says this:

When punctuating quoted passages, include the punctuation mark inside the quotation marks only if the sense of the punctuation mark is part of the quotation ("logical" quotations).

The section contains a number of examples, the first one being this:

  • Arthur said the situation was "deplorable". (The full stop [period] is not part of the quotation.)

I believe it follows that the full stop following the expression "Prophecy Speech" should not be enclosed in the quotation marks because the full stop is not part of the expression that is being quoted.

[edit] 3F8 stub started

Hi MeridithParmer, wanted to make sure you saw Arcadian started a stub for 3F8, it is all yours! Also, if you have a journal reference or news article discussing the effort to develop a humanized or chimeric 3F8 could you please add it to the neuroblastoma article? If you can't find one (I looked high and low and couldn't find any suitable source), we can take out the comment from the article for now and add it later when a published source mentions this effort. Thanks! DMLudwinski (talk) 17:17, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
