[edit] Mediation case
Hello, MercuryProject, I am Shadow1. You may have noticed that a case has been opened in the Mediation Cabal by Dr Wong regarding edits you have made to Foster's Lager and Stella Artois. After reviewing both articles' histories, it appears that you have been removing Dr Wong's statement that the lagers contain isinglass. However, Dr Wong has produced emails from the makers of these lagers that support his claim. If you could please provide a reason as to why you have been removing this claim and leave it on either Dr Wong's talk page or my talk page, I would really appreciate it, as this could help us to resolve the issue. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to leave a message on my talk page. Thanks! Shadow1 18:35, 20 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Isinglass in beer
Hello MercuryProject. My name is Mike, otherwise known as PanzaM22. I have received your notice on my talk page about Stella Artois. I appreciate your feedback and I will address each issue one at a time.
First, my information was neither spurious (false) or uncited. I left a citation after the post, and if you would like me to provide another, I will.
Secondly, I am aware of the process of brewing beer. You mentioned that 98.2% of the beer brewed in both Western Europe and North America (by volume) use isinglass. Do you mind providing citations yourself to back this up?
Third, it appears to me that multiple people, including yourself, wish to hide the fact that Stella Artois uses isinglass. Is there a reason for this? Do you feel the general public should be shielded from this for a particular reason? Is it something to be ashamed of?
Fourth, your accusation that I am attempting to vandalize the page is incorrect. According to Wiki's vandalism page, "Any good-faith effort to improve the encyclopedia, even if misguided or ill-considered, is not vandalism."
My desire is NOT to provide false information, or to upset anyone. I honestly believe that the reason people would visit a Stella Artois page on Wiki is to learn as much factual information about the product as possible. Isn't it always better to know more about something than to know less?
Thank you for your time.
