Did you know that the article Mervyn Wood actually preceded this article since August 25, 2006? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Ajayvius (talkcontribs) .

Suggest that "Merv Wood" redirect to "Mervyn Wood" instead of the other way around. Mervyn Wood is both his given name and, at least per google, how he is most commonly referred to. See, e.g., Google (row OR rowing OR rower OR rowed OR suller "Mervyn Wood") 234 hits vs (row OR rowing OR rower OR rowed OR suller "Merv Wood") 113 hits. And it is also how Wood is most often listed in record books. See, e.g., www.hickoksports.com. While I realize that Mr. Wood's nickname "Merv" is quite popular in Australia, with his multiple Olympic medals, he was a citizen of the world (and one of the truly great oarsmen, ever).Swlenz 21:55, 12 September 2006 (UTC)

Per the earlier comment of 12 sept 2006, and given no objection, I am redirecting this page back to the original "Mervyn Wood" page. Swlenz 21:16, 18 September 2006 (UTC)
