[edit] Plot summary vastly incomplete
It's been ages since I read Merrick, so I don't remember the plot well enough to better summarize it, but I recall that a lot more happens in this book (a lot of Merrick/David backstory, for instance) than is in the summary here. I disliked the book enough that I'm not about to reread it in order to improve the summary... someone who's able to should improve this article though. Hbackman 18:52, 23 November 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Loss of a witches powers
Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't David in fact say in 'Pandora' that he is part of a new kind of vampire, almost as if vampires have evolved again, and therefore is still capable of seeing spirits although he has been given the Dark Gift? Maharet and Mekare, and other older vampires, did lose their abilities when they were transformed. It is only newer vampires that were also strong witches that have held onto their powers. Bold text
