Clowesville, later Garden City -- Clowesville significant because the Queens County Courthouse (& Queens County seat) were located there from 1788 (or so) until 1874 (or so) - though larger general area became known as Mineola around 1858 --JimWae (talk) 02:52, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
