Mervat Amin, (Arabic: ميرفت أمين), is an Egyptian actress, born in 1946 in El-Menya in Egypt.'
Introduced to fame by Abdel Halim Hafez when she starred in front of him in his last film Abi Foq El Shagara (My Father Atop a Tree).
From there she became one of the most successful Egyptian actors in the 1970s and early 1980s during which she starred in many Egyptian films.
Mervat Amin got married four times and she was the second wife of the famous Egyptian actor Hussein Fahmy between (1974 - 1986) and they had on daughter together , their marriage ended by divorce 1986.
