Merlakia Jones was a professional basketball player in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA).

At the University of Florida, Jones excelled for the Florida Gators. She was selected 13th overall in the second round of the 1997 WNBA Draft by Cleveland. She played a total of 8 seasons in the WNBA.[1]
