Meridian High School (Nebraska)

Meridian High School is a high school located one mile west of Daykin, Nebraska. It is the high school to the Meridian Public School District. Meridian elementary and middle school is located in the same building. Meridian is a consolidated school consisting of Daykin, Tobias, Western, and Alexandria, Nebraska. The Meridian K-12 building was completed in 1976 which was also the first school year. Before the school building was built three towns (Daykin, Tobias, and Alexandria) had been combined for nearly 20 years also under the name 'Meridian.' The system was as such: Daykin housed elementary, Alexandria-middle school, and Tobias-high school. At the time of consolidation Meridian was a class C-2 Nebraska school. At the present time Meridian is a class D-1 school.

- Wrestling allowed-to date no female wrestlers have participated.
(Students play baseball and softball in the summer. The teams are not formally a part of the school although the teams play under the names Meridian in the SFS Baseball League, Fun4All Softball league, and American Legion Baseball.
Other Extracurricular activities/organizations Student Council, Future Business Leaders of America, Drama, Thespians, Annual Staff, Enrichment, National Honor Society, Quiz Bowl, Show Choir, Fellowship of Christian Athletes (not formal school organization), and Speech.
