Meridian FM is the community radio station for East Grinstead and the surrounding area.
The 50+ volunteers made their first 28 day broadcast in December 2006, followed by another in May and December 2007.
Limited to two 28 day restricted service licence FM broadcasts licensed by Ofcom each year, Meridian FM hope to graduate to a full time radio service in the future.
Local towns and villages covered by Meridian FM include East Grinstead, Ashurst Wood, Crawley Down, Copthorne, Dormansland, Domewood, Felbridge, Forest Row, Lingfield, Newchapel, Sharpthorne, Turners Hill, and West Hoathly.
The studios are situated at East Court, the East Grinstead Council offices. The station takes its name from the Grenwich meridian line, as the studios sit right on the zero degree line.
