Mercy Arms are an alternative rock band from Sydney, Australia. The four-piece formed in 2005 after meeting "through music clubs and gigs."[1] 2006 saw the band tour Australia with The Strokes, record with Dave Sitek from TV on the Radio, & sign with Capitol Records in the US. 2007 saw the band part ways with Capitol after the companies merger with Virgin. The band supported Pixies and played at both the Sydney and Gold Coast legs of the V Festival (Australia). Mercy Arms first release Kept Low EP was released in September 2007 on Levity in Australia, to much critical acclaim. Their dedut album, produced by Tony Cohen, is due for release mid 2008.

- They played at the first Australian V Festival in Brisbane and Sydney alongside artists such as Pixies, Beck, Pet Shop Boys, New York Dolls, Gnarls Barkley, Phoenix and The Rapture.
- Mercy Arms were chosen to support Pixies at their only Sydney show in 2007.
- They played at the first Playground Weekender Festival on the same bill with bands such as Elbow, !!!, The Dears and The Presets.
- Mercy Arms were handpicked by The Strokes to support them on their 2006 Australian Tour.
- In September 2006 they supported Wolf & Cub on their Australia wide tour.
- Were chosen by friends Cut Copy to support on the 'Hearts On fire' 2007 Australia tour.
- Supported Editors as part of the Splendour in the Grass sideshows in August 2007 throughout Australia
- Toured with The Horrors in August 2007 in Sydney and Melbourne
- Their first headlining tour of Australia began in Adelaide on the 23rd of August 2007, with fellow Sydney band Ghostwood.
