Mercier, Montreal

Mercier is a neighbourhood which is part of the Mercier–Hochelaga-Maisonneuve borough of the city of Montreal.


It was named after Honoré Mercier (1840-1894), Premier of Quebec from 1887 to 1891.

The neighbourhood of Mercier is not to be confused with the Mercier electoral district which is located in The Plateau.
