Merchant Marine Gallant Ship Citation Ribbon

The Merchant Marine Gallant Ship Citation Ribbon is a decoration of the United States Merchant Marine. The decoration is awarded to officers and seamen who served on a United States vessel or to a foreign-flaged vessel, which at the time of service, participated in outstanding or gallant action in marine disasters or other emergencies for the purpose of saving life or property at sea. The bronze Gallant Ship Plaque is awarded to the ship.
