Mercato Saraceno is a commune (municipality) in the Province of Forlì-Cesena in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about 90 km southeast of Bologna and about 35 km southeast of Forlì. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 6,442 and an area of 99.8 km².[1]
The municipality of Mercato Saraceno contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Bacciolino, Bora, Boratella, Cella, Ciola, Linaro, Monte Castello, Monte Iottone, Monte Sasso, Musella, Paderno, Piavola, San Damiano, San Romano, Schiazzano, and Taibo.
Mercato Saraceno borders the following municipalities: Bagno di Romagna, Cesena, Novafeltria, Roncofreddo, Sarsina, Sogliano al Rubicone, Talamello.
