MERA Networks is a Russian software R&D services provider for telecom equipment manufactures and IT solutions vendors. MERA is headquartered in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia. MERA Networks specializes in software R&D for cellular/wireless/wireline communications as well as converged communications. The company is TL 9000 [2] and ISO 9001:2000 certified. - 1989 : A group of professors from State Nizhny Novgorod Technical University founds MERA as a private firm specialized in antenna research and development.
- 1990 : MERA wins first contracts with foreign customers.
- 1993 : MERA concludes a first software development contract with Nortel Networks, Canada.
- 2000 : The company opens a Customer Relations Office in Toronto, Canada.
- 2001 : MERA Networks fully complies with ISO 9001:2000 standard.
- 2003 : The company completes the construction of its own office building.
- 2005 : MERA signs a contract with TietoEnator, a leading Swedish corporation, expanding thus its business in Western Europe.
- 2006 : MERA is the first company in Russia to achieve TL 9000 certification [4] for provision of outsourced software development, testing and maintenance services.
- MERA signs a contract with Alcatel-Lucent, thus expanding its business in Europe even further.
- 2007 : MERA Networks starts collaborating with Andrew Corporation, a global manufacturer and supplier of RF systems and solutions.
- MERA Networks acquires a new client and starts a new software development project with SynapSense [5], a leading provider of complete wireless instrumentation products.
