[edit] confusion?

I can't help wondering if the author of this article has confused Mendocino County with the Mendocino AVA. My reading of the CFR indicates that the AVA is significantly smaller than the county. Stepheng3 (talk) 18:02, 13 December 2007 (UTC)

Both Mendocino AVA and Mendocino County are acceptable wine appellations of origin. This article should focus on Mendocino AVA, but there's no reason we couldn't also have a Mendocino County wine article (similar to the Sonoma County wine and Napa County wine articles) as well.--Kharker (talk) 23:20, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
