Menticide is the name of an EBM / Industrial band from Stockholm, Sweden started by Christiaan Riemslag and Johan van Damm in 2006. After a few club shows and demo recordings (primarily of cover songs), the two started composing original material and developed a more uniform sound. At the same time, they abandoned their first name Volt and instead choose Menticide (inspired by the song "Menticide" by Dive).

The duo's debut album N.M.E. was released in the summer of 2007 by SubSpace Communications in Scandinavia and by Infacted Recordings in rest of Europe. The record was later also released by Russian label, Gravitator Records.

R.M.X., an EP of remixes as well as new tracks, is expected for digital relase in late 2007/early 2008.

For live shows, Menticide invite various guest keyboardists to their line-up, and occasionally Henrik Björkk (Pouppée Fabrikk) or Peter Elm (Restricted Area) for duet vocals.
