Menongue

Menongue (pre-1975: Serpa Pinto) is a town in mid-south-east Angola, and is the capital of Cuando Cubango Province.
It is the terminus of the southern railway from Namibe.
MiG 23 aircraft from the nearby airbase launched air strikes against the SADF during the Battle of Cuito Cuanavale.
