Menno Baars (1961) is a Dutch expressionist painter.
Baars was born as the son of a judge in Utrecht, is said to have studied at Utrecht University. He is a cardiologist. May 2008 he made a claim to fame by throwing paint at a huge passenger airplane at Lelystad Airport in the Netherlands. In just one day Baars painted the nose of a Fokker 100 plane. Baars was dripping and throwing the paint just like Jackson Pollock did. But unlike this great former artist, Baars dropped his paint out of a helicopter and finished his work from the ground.
