Men of the World was a BBC One situation comedy. It ran for twelve episodes over two series from 19941995 and starred David Threlfall as Lenny Smart and John Simm as Kendle Bains. It was written by Daniel Peacock, who also appeared as the character Gilby Watson.[1]

The series was directed by Terry Kinane and produced for Alomo Productions by Laurence Marks, Maurice Gran and Claire Hinson.[2] Marks and Gran are successful sitcom writers in their own right.

As of January 2008, the series has never been repeated on UK terrestrial or satellite television. It has also not had a DVD release and appears to have been forgotten about by the viewing public.

[edit] Plot

Lenny Smart and Kendle Bains are flatmates and work together as travel agents in Manchester. Thirtysomething Lenny attempts, with the help of old friend Gilby, to turn sensitive 23-year-old Kendle into a "real man".
