Men, Women & Children

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Men, Women & Children (formerly known as easy tiger, torpedo) is a rock band formed in 2004 (see 2004 in music) by ex-Glassjaw guitarist, Todd Weinstock. The band uses a combination of post-punk guitar and disco synthesizers. While signed to Warner/Reprise Records they released their self-titled debut album and in 2006, they filmed their first music video to promote the album's single, Dance In My Blood.

They have supported acts such as Metric, Gang of Four, Rx Bandits, De La Soul, Brand New, The Format, lostprophets, Panic! at the Disco, Snoop Dogg, Head Automatica and ¡Forward, Russia!. They also headlined their own shows with supporting acts like We Are The Fury.

In Detroit, while on the MTV2 Presents Welcome to the Universe $2 Bill Tour, their tour van, trailer, and equipment, valued at over $100,000, was stolen. The band set up a Paypal account for donations in order to continue their touring schedule. 30 Seconds to Mars's fanbase, the Echelon, also collected donations to help in Men Women & Children's efforts.

On the October 23, 2006 episode of the NBC show Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip titled "The Wrap Party", Dance In My Blood was prominently featured in the background during the show.

On June 13, 2007, according to a blog posted on their myspace, Men, Women, and Children, separated itself from Warner/Reprise Records. They cited a lack of distribution of their first album, as the major reason they wanted to leave.

The first single from the currently untitled second album is named 'Ultra Hot Volcano', and will be released through the independent IAMSOUND record label on May 6th through digital means and a limited edition 7 inch vinyl.
