[edit] article "stub"
My new article (which was modified by an Administrator) at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rachel_Oakes_Preston is reflected as a "stub". How/when is this moved to Article status? Mel 04:32, 30 April 2006 (UTC)
- Stubs are considered real articles when they provide more than just a brief description of the subject. You can read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Perfect_stub_article for more information about stubs. The best thing you can do is expand the article as much as you can with proper citations and references! Good luck and have fun! Mike (T C) 04:37, 30 April 2006 (UTC)
- Exactly. Stubs are simply short articles. Stub status simply means that more could be said about the subject. Rachel Oakes Preston is just as much an article as any other article on wikipedia. Although on second thought the article is probably too large to still be considered a stub. I'll look into it. Anyway, welcome to wikipedia. If you have more information on adventists, you might want to look into Category:Christianity stubs and its daughters. Aecis Mr. Mojo risin' 11:43, 30 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Citing sources
It might help to have a quick read through WP:CITE. Rachel Oakes Preston is looking good, bit fragmented at the moment, I might use my machete later. Regards. MyNameIsNotBob 12:38, 30 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Welcome to WikiProject Seventh-day Adventist Church
Welcome to the project. I see that you have a list of pages you are working on already but feel free to take an active interest in any of the endeavours on the project. Also feel free to discuss any issues that may be relevant to the project here. Ansell 01:16, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Copyright violation on Weimar Institute
You should develop a replacement for the page from scratch on a temporary page. I have found the following page that it is copied from [1]. 06:46, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
- Hi, as a newcomer to wikipedia you may not be aware of where to proceed from here. If, perchance, you own the copyright of [2] all you have to do is say so and declare that you allow for its release under the GFDL. Otherwise, a summary, in your own words needs to be written. -Fermion 06:58, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Re: Thomas Pynchon page
Thanks. I'd seen that genealogical article before. How likely is it that the Deaths Register database would make a typo? I've never seen her name with a "C" anywhere else.
best wishes, Abaca 23:55, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Nathaniel Thayer
[edit] Nathaniel Thayer
I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Nathaniel Thayer, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. --Flex (talk|contribs) 20:07, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Harry Anderson
Hey, Meldouglass! I saw that you were interested in the artist Harry Anderson. I just created an article on him. Review and edit to your delight! — Frecklefσσt | Talk 15:08, 30 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Hi
Hi Meldouglass, I notice that you edit the Herbert E. Douglass article from time to time and was wondering if you are a relative? I am curious, that's all. I trust you're aware of WP:COI, but as I recall your edits have been neutral. To repeat, I'm curious, that's all. Colin MacLaurin (talk) 05:17, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
