Hi Hypernovean, I see you changed the external links to "deep link" instead of just linking to the websites themselves.

Are you sure this is a good idea? I could easily believe that these sites could change those paths in a trice leaving the page outdated. That's why I linked to the main page of each site. Zuytdorp Survivor 23:11, 16 Jun 2004 (UTC)

Ok, I changed http://www.street-directory.com.au/aus_new/index.cgi to just http://www.street-directory.com.au/ (they're both the same); however, http://www.ausway.com/ by itself leads to an ugly redirect page/useless intro page, whereas http://www.ausway.com/ausway.html leads straight to the directory listing, which is what people would want to see. I doubt that the page will change anytime soon though, I understand your point. TPK 09:03, 17 Jun 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Does anyone know how Ausway create their maps?

Does Ausway use satellite photos, aerial photos or do they drive along the roads? I assume it's a combination of all three, but I can't find any information about this. It might be useful to add the answer to the trivia section. 203.12.172.254 02:02, 16 May 2007 (UTC)

You might like to email them and ask. In the past I've found them to be very helpful with questions. --Evan C (Talk) 06:54, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
Just to comment here, try not to put such information into a trivia section. They are highly discouraged in Wikipedia. Try to incorporate it into the main article if you can. --Lakeyboy 08:20, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
