Talk:Melbourne Central railway station
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
For now, don't add a station facilities link for this station, as the page at the Connex Melbourne website lists the wrong station's details (Ivanhoe). I've emailed them to ask that it be fixed - check here to see if it's been done yet. T.PK 10:19, 14 Dec 2004 (UTC) - They actually did fix it! T.PK 07:34, 25 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- They've fixed errors that I've reported in the past as well. They took about a week to fix the page that stated Altona was on the Hurstbridge line for me. Somebody in the WWW 23:34, 7 Jan 2005 (UTC)

- [1] seems to be the right link, but the link you mentioned says Ivanhoe! Somebody in the WWW 23:35, 7 Jan 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Old photos of Museum Station
In the R.M. Williams shop in Melbourne Central, there's a tiny museum. You can look right up inside the shot tower. There's a photo of Museum Station before Melb Central was built. I have vague memories of this. I can't find any exterior images online. Anyone know where I can find some? There are some interesting photos here. Cnwb 03:30, 8 April 2006 (UTC)
Hey. Good news, I have found an aerial shot of Musuem Station before Melbourne Central was built. I think it looks real retro and way out there but is sorta cool as well. I have added it to this article. Enjoy! Lakeyboy 11:48, 17 April 2006 (UTC)
Where did you find it?Its copyright status is a bit dubious to me. "No copyright mentioned." is not good enough. In most countries (including Australia) copyright is automatically granted. The work remains the property of the author(s) until the copyright expires. The copyright owner decides whether or not to give you permission to use it. Consequently you can't just go collecting random images from web sites and uploading them to Wikipedia. Not without permission from the photographer.
- On a more practical note, I'm not sure the image in question is of any real benefit. It may be old but because it's so small I can't really make out any of the features. A photograph of the entrance(s) to Museum station would be interesting. --ozzmosis 13:08, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
