[edit] Slammed?

Seems like Kiper is getting slammed in that last paragraph, something to the effect of "his right picks are few and far between"

I believe he is being slammed, but for the right reason. I watch the NFL draft year in and out only to find out that he is very rarely correct in his predictions. You only have to look as far as his predictions. It has been listed that Kiper has a 11.583% correct prediction track record. It would be wrong to fully praise him, or omit the facts as he does not merit this.

The point is, he predicts based on where the player deserves to go, and that is usually accurate. (I mean 'where' as in where in the draft, not which team)

[edit] What the Hell?

How is Mel Kiper Jr's LEGACY that he isn't always right? NO one is ever always right, especially in the NFL draft which is notoriously hard to predict. We can't just list his 3 or 4 worst moments and call it his legacy. His Legacy is that he is always incredibly (almost freakishly) well-prepared for the draft, and maybe the hair.

I Think to make this article more balanced Kyper's good moments should also be included

Its almost like Bill Tobin wrote the article or something. It contradicts itself in talking about The colts draft in 1994 --Uvaditto3sport (talk) 03:21, 10 January 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Uvaditto3sport (talk • contribs) 03:15, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Nice Hagiography

[edit] This article is a joke like 75 percent of the other Wikipedia articles

This article is so far from balanced it's ridiculous. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.27.113.92 (talk) 06:03, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] 0-16 prediction

A fair few football friendly fanatics find the facts flawed and fairly fictitious fabrications. Someone should remove the 0-16 prediction that is uncited, as it clearly did not happen. I think that this is one fabrication that is actually just silly. I'd like to see it removed, and hopefully some other users can come in and try to make this article on Mel Kiper more balanced. The guy is not just some total random pretending to talk football, and this article makes it seem like it. --81.159.33.137 (talk) 10:16, 17 April 2008 (UTC)

I can only reiterate what I just wrote (having forgotten to sign in) and say that this is a bit of a joke to see this kind of an error on a page devoted to a public figure. It should be easy to find sources, and failing that it should be at least put as an urban myth/rumour rather than as what some kids are calling a fact. You can surely see that it directly contradicts the Wikipedia policy itself, as the prediction is entirely uncited and libellous, making out that the person in question is a fool for picking a team to go 0-16 when they went on to win it. --Showa58taro (talk) 10:18, 17 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] A Bit One-Sided

Someone needs to at least put some of his accurate predictions in here. I went to this article because I knew nothing about him and was curious, and while reading the thing, I was struck by how blatently biased this is against him. Someone obviously is holding a grudge, and found a way to sling some mud with a 7th grade maturity level. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.160.224.134 (talk) 20:50, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
