Melvin Williams (actor)

"Little Melvin" Williams is a Baltimore, Maryland drug lord. After serving a jail sentence he joined the cast of HBO's The Wire as The Deacon. One of the shows writer's, Ed Burns, was the man who arrested Williams in 1984 while he was a Baltimore police officer. Series creator David Simon covered the arrest for The Baltimore Sun.
