Melton is the central suburb in the township of Melton, located in the outer west of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It is within the Local Government Area of the Shire of Melton.
The township of Melton annually hosts a weekend long festival known as "The Djerriwarrh Festival". The festival is most famous for its parade along Melton's longest street, High Street. The festival has a carnival atmosphere and features live bands, rides and entertainment for all ages.
