Melissa Rossi

Melissa Rossi (1965-) is an American author and journalist who writes about subjects such as American politics and international geopolitical situations. In addition to her books, Rossi's work has been published in Newsweek, MSNBC, George, Newsday, Esquire, the New York Observer and National Geographic Traveler, where she wrote a regular column.

Born in Dayton, Ohio, Rossi has lived across the United States since she began traveling at the age of 17. Initially wanting to be an artist, Rossi changed her mind after college to focus on writing instead, at which point she began writing articles for numerous publications. She live in Seattle, WA in the early 1990s, where she had a column in the Seattle Weekly. She wrote her first two books while living in Seattle. She moved abroad in 1996, and has lived in numerous countries across the world.
