Melinda Toole is a beauty queen from Birmingham, Alabama who will compete in the Miss America pageant in 2007.
Toole won the Miss Alabama 2006 title in a state pageant held in Birmingham in June 2006. She had previously placed in the top ten of the 2005 event. She was crowned by outgoing titleholder Alexa Jones.
Toole will compete in the Miss America 2007 pageant broadcast live on CMT from the Theatre for the Performing Arts on 29 January 2007. Her platform issue is character education, for which she placed second runner-up for the Quality of Life award. Her talent is a vocal performance of Time to Say Goodbye, a song made famous by Sarah Brightman and Andrea Bocelli.
Toole, who attended Pinson Valley High School, graduated from Samford University with a degree in elementary education in May 2006.[1]
