Melinda Culea (born May 5, 1955 in Western Springs, Illinois) is an American actress best known for playing reporter Amy Allen in the first season and a half of The A-Team. Introduced in the Pilot film, where the character was presented as feisty, Culea soon started to complain that her character had very little to do. Reportedly, star George Peppard did not like a female lead being part of the show, and made his feelings quite clear. Culea also pushed for her to be involved in the team's fights, something which the producers resisted. Culea was ultimately dropped from the series, though there are conflicting stories as to whether Culea left after becoming increasingly unhappy with the role, or if she was fired as a result of her complaints.
Other notable roles include a recurring character on Knots Landing for two seasons, and appearances on the TV shows X-Files and the Star Trek: The Next Generation. She also had a role in the movie Dying on the Edge and a leading role in the short-lived series Glitter.
