Mele chovva is a small area in the Kannur district. It lies very near to NH-17 and on the way to Calicut Highway. The main places of historical importance is the Old Siva Temple. Mele chovva has many educational institutions. The popular among them are the Dharma Samajam School and the Chovva High School.
