Melbu is a village (population 2002: 2200) located in the municipality of Hadsel in the Vesterålen archipelago in the county of Nordland, in Northern Norway. Melbu is one of two centres on the Hadseløya island, the other being Stokmarknes. Melbu is host to the annual Summer-Melbu festival.

Melbu has a ferry connection to the Lofoten islands. The nearest airport, Skagen, is about 25 kilometers away. The inhabitants are mostly engaged in fishing or agriculture. Melbu is located on the south side of Hadseløya.
