Melanie Munch, (born August 4, 1981), better known by the stage name Mell, is a German singer, best known for being the lead singer of trance group Groove Coverage.
[edit] Early life
Munch was born in Munich, Germany in August 4, 1981. She stated in the autobiography on the Groove Coverage official website that she later moved to Ingolstadt.
[edit] Singing
According to her autobiography, Mell first developed a passion for singing when she was in kindergarden. She enjoyed singing her favorite songs far more than doing her math homework, much to the dismay of her family and friends. After two years of singing lessons, she met Groove Coverage member DJ Novus, and was invited to sing in a real studio. She is perhaps most famous for her vocals on the Groove Coverage cover of "Moonlight Shadow".
[edit] Pregnancy
While she was pregnant, she was replaced by Verena Rehm in music videos and album and singles covers. She was later said to be too fat and that she was not on a diet, which shocked the people of Germany.
