Melanie Kay Turner

Melanie Kay Turner (born 1984-11-19) grew up in Derby, Kansas and currently resides in Las Vegas, NV. She attended Wichita State University in the Musical Theatre BFA program and later transferred to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a BA in Theatre Performance.
Turner began performing at Music Theatre of Wichita in Cinderella, directed by Mark Madama. Later she joined a band called Lip Survis led by Exile’s Randy Rickman. Later the group separated itself from his name and went out on their own. The band broke up in 2005 when Melanie left for Las Vegas and Amanda Kramme got married.
Notable performances by Melanie Turner include Jerry Springer the Opera at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Beacher’s Madhouse at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, Pippin at the Anheuser-Busch Theatre, Sweet Charity directed by Jim Carey and choreographed by Dana Moore, and Fiddler on the Roof directed by Mindy Cooper.
Currently Turner is living and working in Las Vegas, NV. She is also on the board of advisors for Musical Actor’s Theatre in Las Vegas.
