Melaleuca Field
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Melaleuca Field is a stadium in Idaho Falls, Idaho. It is primarily used for baseball, and is the home field of the Idaho Falls Chukars minor league baseball team. It was built in 2006. It holds 3,400 people and has 8 luxury suites. American Legion and local high school games are also played at the field.
The old stadium, McDermott Field, was demolished in 2006.[1] The City of Idaho Falls had tried unsuccessfully for several years to raise enough money to replace McDermott Field, but Idaho Falls based Melaleuca, Inc bought the naming rights to the new stadium.
Both fields use the same baseball diamond and outer fence; that is, the field itself was not changed, only the stadium around it.
