Mel Long (born November 22, 1946 in Toledo, Ohio) is a former American football linebacker. He played college football at Toledo, where he was a defensive tackle. In 1998 he was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame.
Long was selected in the 1972 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns and played for them three seasons.
