Mel Lipman

Melvin Lipman is an attorney and civil libertarian living in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Though currently retired from full-time legal practice, Lipman works as an arbitrator and mediator while teaching constitutional law at the Nevada campus of the University of Phoenix.

Lipman is president of the American Humanist Association and head of the legal team of the Appignani Humanist Legal Center. He is a founder and past president of the Humanist Association of Las Vegas and Southern Nevada, former president of the the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Las Vegas, and a former board member of the Nevada Civil Liberties Union. He serves as an advisory board member of the Secular Student Alliance and is a member of the Las Vegas Interfaith Council.
