Mekit County

The Mekit (Makit) County (Chinese: 麦盖提县; Uyghur: مەكىت ناھىيىسى‎, Mekit Nahiyisi, Məkit Nah̡iyisi) is a county in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region and is under the administration of the Kashgar Prefecture. It contains an area of 10,927 sq km. According to the 2002 census, it has a population of 200,000.
