Meikle Wartle is a small rural village in north-east of Scotland. It is around 8 miles north of Inverurie. Local facilities include a village hall, a garage, a general store, a B&B and a public house. There is also a mansion house near by, by the name of Warthill House. The village consists of a few older buildings surrounded by several newer buildings. The village is in the catchment area for Rayne North, a small school which consists of two classes. Meikle Wartle is around six-seven miles from Oldmeldrum and eight-nine miles from Inverurie.
