Meiji no Mori Takao Quasi-National Park
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Meiji no Mori Takao Quasi-National Park (明治の森高尾国定公園 Meiji no Mori Takao Kokutei Kōen?) is located around Mount Takao in Hachiōji, Tokyo, Japan.
The park has an area of 7.77 square kilometres and is visited by some 2.2 million people a year. The Japanese government made it a quasi-national park[1] in 1967 in commemoration of the centennial of the Meiji Era, which began in 1868. These are just like a normal national park except Japan's government created them.
