Mei Ju-ao (Chinese:梅汝璈, 1904-1973) native of Nanchang in Jiangxi province. Chinese jurist and author.

After graduating from Tsinghua University in 1924, Mei Ju-ao went to the United states to study. In 1926, he was awarded a BA from Stanford University and was elected a member of Phi Beta Kappa Society the same year. Mei went on to study law and Yale Law School where he obtained a JD in 1928.

[edit] Tokyo Trials

In 1946-48, Mei was the Chinese member of the judges in the International Military Tribunal for the Far East's trials of Japanese war crimes committed during the second World War.

He is portrayed by Damian Lau in the 2006 movie Tokyo Trial.
